Free mothers day ideas
There are lovely ways to make mum enjoy her mothers day without breaking the bank and they can be as meaningful to her. Here are some free ideas that every mother would love and warm her heart.
- Sleep - Let her sleep in, most of the time we are tired and a good restful sleep in is luxury for us mums.
- Breakfast/ brunch in bed - After that wonderful sleep, treat your mum with a tasty home cooked meal. There's lots of recipes online, however one of my favourites are the ricotta blueberry pancakes by Gordon Ramsay.
- No house chores - Mums do it everyday, we really do appreciate it if we have one day of not doing any house chores. This gives us time to read a good book or stream some Netflix.
- Make something - It's the thought the counts, something you craft is very memorable and special for us mothers. You can make her a card or something DIY, we will be proud of you.
- Nature day trip- For the adventure mums, we love to be in nature. We love to hike, breathe in the fresh air, see some waterfalls and beautiful scenery.
- Clean her car - Every mum loves a clean car inside and out. We have so many crumbs, packets, fingerprints caused by our little ones and dust can accumulate on the exterior.
- Me time - Out of the day give her some "me" time to be alone. We need that quiet time to recuperate and relax without worrying about a thing.
- Massage - Give mum a relaxing massage at home. Set the scene, play some relaxing music in the background, turn on the diffuser and massage away.
- Movie night - Dim down the lights, cook some popcorn and play mums favourite movie. She'll appreciate it especially if you watch along with her.
Best of all tell mum you love her, we will never get tired of hearing that. (Add lots of kisses and cuddles too! )
